Our company, like many technology companies, was driven by a brainstorm: VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology could be used to give small and medium sized companies the same voice and data communications capabilities enjoyed by large organizations at a fraction of the cost. The second part of the brainstorm: developing a business-class, secure, hosted network that could free businesses from making large capital expenditures.
As veterans of Cable and Wireless, our upper management faced only one obstacle: although VoIP technology was proven, no one had ever used it in a secure, redundant, business-class setting.
So our company spent three years developing and perfecting the technology, transforming VoIP into VoPI (Voice over Private Internet). Since signing up our first customer, we now services 65,000 business customers, with double- or triple-digit growth every year. Account Executives are responsible for selling our products and services within an assigned geographic territory. The primary objective of this job is to acquire new customers. Working with minimum supervision, they develop and execute account/territory selling strategies and manage all steps of the customer acquisition process. Account Executives resolve customer issues concerning service and billing, as appropriate, through the implementation process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and properly qualify business opportunities. Develop account/ territory selling strategies.
Prepare formal proposals and present to decision makers within customer organizations.
Manage all steps of the selling process; coordinate complex decision-making in order to overcome objections to closure.
Close new business according to targets, objectives, and plans.
Support the implementation process by maintaining customer contact, answering service billing questions, and effecting a smooth and successful transition to account management post-implementation.
Provides accurate sales forecasts and reports to management in a timely and consistent manner.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience/ Skills/ Competencies:
Professional selling experience in high-tech or service related industry
Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas
Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
Possess, or have the ability to obtain expert knowledge of our products, services and policies
Self driven, motivated and results oriented
$40,000 base salary plus commission to do $95,000 first year. Plus,
$1,000 bonus for every deal you close months 1-3
$750 bonus for every deal you close months 4-7
$500 bonus for every deal you close months 8-10
